Junior outing to Langley Dam June 2016

Twenty juniors enjoyed a good mornings fishing at Langley Dam. Nearly everyone caught fish, most on the worm and several on the Mayfly which were well spotted on the water by some sharp eyed anglers. Toby O'Connor won the person of the match after catching brown trout, rainbows, perch and even a couple of tiger trout (Toby with one of the tiger trout) So well done Toby.

Results:  Heaviest bag on the worm and for the third year running was Jamie Wilson. Jamie was also successful on catching a couple of trout on the Mayfly.

Heaviest bag on the fly was won by McKenzie Reynolds. This was only McKenzies second attempt at fly fishing after recently joining the club.

Haltwhistle Junior Hub Club winner was Hannah Johnson.

Well done David, Carole and Ian Sanderson and to all those parents and helpers who made this day the success it was.

Who is this? Is he the oldest Junior in the Haltwhistle club? or has he turned up on the wrong day - the adult competition was held in April!
