New Fishing

I am happy to say that we have managed to secure some more fishing for the coming season, this new beat is located at Bardon Mill. It is on the North Bank only and stretches from our previous downstream boundary downstream to the water fished by the North Eastern Railways Angling Club at the Redburn Pool. (See attached map). The water also gives us some excellent access and parking for our lower beats. Parking is marked with a green X on the map. The water was previously leased by the Tynside Anglers Syndicate but they have not renewed this season.

To get to the water drive East on the A69 from Haltwhistle, turn right into Bardon Mill at the first turn off (before the filling station) follow the road round to the left, do not turn right onto the old A69 but take the next right turn which is between houses on the right. Follow this road as it bends to the right then turn left under the railway bridge. Once under the railway bridge you can turn left open the field gate and drive down the track through the field. You can park on the grass near the river side at the green X on the map. If you prefer not to drive through the field there is some parking on the left before you go under the railway. If you are not familiar with the area post code NE47 7EQ takes you to the nearest house using satnav.
I hope you will get out and try this new water, please ensure you are wearing your fobs so they are easily visible and ensure you have your car sticker visible with your membership number clearly readable.

Please let me know of any fish caught on this new stretch as we need to assess the value of the fishing.
I hope to see you all on the river soon. Please feel free to give me a call on 07850 790630 if you have any questions about our fishing.
